Quinta das Relvinhas

Quinta das Relvinhas (website only in German) is the house we call our home for the next 12 weeks. It’s a guest house run by Frank and Sylvia, two Germans in their mid 30th who decided to build up and run a guest and family house two years ago. The house has 12 rooms – 9 in the main building and 3 in the converted barn. Below is Frank’s vision on the things he would like to do with the guest house. In a nutshell, he wants to build up the garden, ahve kid’s play areas, relaxing gardens, own grown vegetables, wine and everything ideally on a permaculture basis. The first tasks involved clearing the grounds of stuff which has been accumulated over years or of spiky bushes that enjoyed living and growing here over the last decade. Additionally a small group (including me) is helping Frank with his positioning in off season months as well as refining the business plan, later with focus on consistent messaging and setting the right expectations. Something that has come across very strongly already, Frank is a man of visions, but has not got the detail to eye or the patience to see something through from beginning to finish before starting something else. He’s the heart and the pulse of the Quinta in its most successful months with him running activity sport groups, kids activities everything under the umbrella of being spontaneous, flexible and fun.
